About the Workshop

As the growing pandemic places larger strains on systems in general, the burden is increasingly shifting to those in front line response especially for the care of those in mental health and substance use crisis.  Diminishing resources across multiple sectors and a holiday season marked with loss and uncertainty, it is no surprise that there are greater numbers of crisis calls than ever before.  Lieutenant Tim Tomisek, Co-Coordinator for the Chattanooga Police Department Crisis Intervention Team, teaches active crisis de-escalation skills and verbal techniques, drawing on his 19-year experience as a police officer and his education in psychology and professional counseling.  Join us for a refresher from CIT School and be entered to win a prize giveaway!
